美国是个神奇的地方（一）

来美国二十天了 居然没有写一个字

刚到的时候对这里没什么感觉 一个字"乡下"-_-！

也许来之前本来就没什么期盼吧 从浦东起飞 到芝加哥转机 印第安纳波利斯降落

一路上浑浑噩噩的 有空就倒头大睡 虽然临窗坐着 却几乎没有看过风景

飞过日本都市的时候看过一眼 太平洋上看过一眼 美国中部田野上看过一眼

见到芝加哥的第一感觉就是天真tmd蓝 而且连芝加哥这种老工业 全美第三大城市的绿化都这么牛x

虽然没有杭州西湖那么秀 但是总体绿化比杭州要好太多

飞机晚点 入关人又多 排队异常着急 眼看要延误了转机的时间 向工作人员请求优先

却被拒绝了 原来有很多其他人也赶不上connection flight

没有办法只能干等了 快轮到我的时候 前面有一个人被海关卡住了 原因竟然是那个

中国人不会说英文 check-in的young lady也不会说中文 我立马上去说我是中国来的会

英文然后给海关mm当起来翻译 原来那个中国人是国内公司派来芝加哥培训的

没有和其他同事排在一个窗口 海关mm 十分感谢我 就直接开始看我的材料 然后秒过 然后

我居然奇迹般的在最后三分钟赶上了去indianapolis的班机

下了飞机 找到了iucssa接机的朋友 却没等到我的行李 去托运部一问 原来我的行李

被滞留芝加哥了（可怜） 那个大叔看了看list还开玩笑问我 你是上海那边过来的吧？

上海过来的行李总是出问题噢！

汗颜 没辙 只能乖乖去bloomington等我的行李

cssa的朋友很nice 带我去了kroger（超市级别的杂货店）和wal-mart（沃尔玛） 买了洗漱用品和一个pad（铺在床垫上的薄薄的垫子）

我把这个pad做成一个榻榻米当床睡 想不到我后来睡了一个星期的榻榻米

Hard silence

There is a song named "Easy Silence" in South Chicks' hot album "Take a Long Way". But at this very time, silence is not easy. That's why I use, or you may say invent, this phrase "hard silence" as the title.

Since the earthquake shook Sichuan on May 12, everyone in this country has been standing together to lend his hand to the victims. It's the most destructive natural disaster hitting China in recent 30 years.

Yesterday The State Council declared the next 3 days the national days of mourning and appealed the public for three minutes grief from 2:28pm May 19. Air raid sirens, cars, trains and ship horns were wailing in grief when the people fell silent. Web pages turn grey, public entertainment is suspended, flag is at half-mast. It's one of the few times that I feel the power of solidarity in China. Nobody could be indifferrent.

Skype is good

It was my first time to make a call to a foreign country. I was calling to withdraw my application. The secretary at UIUC speaks quickly with a sweet voice. She is really nice. Though being nervous a little bit, I managed to speak in a fairly fluent way. At least, we have no difficulty in understanding each other. The most amazing point is that Skype only charged me 0.09 EUR, that is just 1 RMB for the 3 minutes international long-distance call. Bravo! I do love it.

As you may know, the choice of which Law School to pursue one's LLM study is always critical and really not easy. Finally, I reached my decision. After rejecting UIUC, I would definitely go to Indiana U-Bloomington School of Law, a so generous Institution. Located in the gorgous Bloomington which means the "town of blooming", the picturesque campus view ranks within top 5 among the American Universities.

While typing, I received an email from Cornell who finally began to review my application materials. God, Jesus! Though there is tiny chance that I would choose Cornell, I wish to get an Ivy admission, not rejection. I hate rejection.

When in Beijing, my aunt showed me the diary which is part of my childhood memories. She had kept it for more than ten years. I made a copy of my diary and asked her to keep the manuscript forever as a special gift.

12-13日 晴 有时有雨
今天,我和阿蕾姐姐、阿吉哥哥、小郑哥哥、李静姐姐还有晨晨、姑姑和姑妈坐汽车到金华，乘坐火车到我们伟大的首都北京。我们跋山涉水，途径浙江、上海、江苏、安徽、山东、河北、天津，到达了目的地北京， 共历时34小时。

14-17日 晴 有时有雨
一切正常。
晨晨的姑姑和表弟楠楠也来到了北京，在我们这儿住了下来。

98年7月18日 晴转暴风雨
"今天到哪儿玩呢？"大家正为这事儿犯愁。"对了，咱们到动物园玩吧！"我建议说。大家都一直赞同。说干就干，我们叫了辆夏利浩浩荡荡直奔动物园。到了动物园门口，之间"北京动物园"五个镏金大字在阳光的照射下闪闪发光，显得格外耀眼。近了公园门，三幢风格各异的楼房映入了我的眼帘。再向里走一段，就是充满生机的猴山。瞧，那只小猴子在假山上轻松自如地七上八下地乱叫乱跳，还有这只更是天真可爱在转圈上玩耍。突然，一只小猴子从我眼前一闪而过，只听嗖的一声，那只猴子灵活的爬上了假山，又像杂记演员似的轻松自如地脚踏钢索，从这座山飞到了另一座假山。这些顽皮的小猴子们有的在吃食，有的在玩耍。你看，那只猴子见游客扔进一段黄瓜，用嘴啃掉皮，只吃里面的瓜，逗得大家咯咯笑。离开了猴山，我们又参观了老虎山，熊猫馆等景点。时间不早了，我们也该回家了，我想："今天玩得真愉快啊！"

98年7月20日 游富国海底世界
今天，太阳像一个火球炙烤着大地。我和姑姑、晨晨来到富国海底世界参观。到了里面，一阵凉气迎面而来。我们先观看了简介，然后进入了长达120米的海底隧道。我们站在自动行走器上，身体慢慢向前移。在隧道里，我们向四周观望。瞧，这么一大群热带鱼，在一起玩耍多么可爱啊！还有这群鱼小巧玲珑，在海底假山中穿梭，多么灵活，多么可爱。"卡嚓"，原来，一只特大鲨鱼游过来，姑姑给我照了一张相。之后，我又看了孔雀鱼、大白鲨等各种鱼。过了海底隧道我们又来到海底教师听课吸取知识。该回家了，我们依依不舍得离开了。我想："通过这次参观不仅开了眼界，又增长了知识。"今天过得真愉快啊！

21-25 日 晴转雨 逛商场篇新东安市场（北京）
今天，我们乘坐夏利车来到著名的王府井大街。这儿高楼林立，装饰一新，特别是新东安市场更别具一格。我们进了商场，一派华丽的景象映入了我的眼帘。我们先上了五层，在小吃街吃了午饭。我吃的是四川名食担担面，不过把我辣的。我们在新东安市场玩了很久，买了衣服、鞋子。然后，我们去吃肯德基。辣鸡膀特别好吃，幸好姑姑喜欢土豆泥。肯德基的姐姐还送给我和晨晨一个机器猫。我想，今天过的真高兴啊！

My first post!

After more than six hours' work, I finally intall my blog on this site. I did spend a great amount of time getting familiar with "Wordpress". I cannot help but become avid for the simple and clear style of the "Wordpress" at first sight. But I had to look for the free BSP with wordpress MU, for I don't have a dependent domain name of my own.

Wordpress.com.cn has great interface and quick access, but is infamous for deleting bloggers' data without notification. Equipped with powerful plugins as well as a good reputation, Yo2.cn is crowded with swarms of users, which lead to the annoying time lag. 72pines.com seems to be well evaluated, but you have to get invited by the current registers.

In addition to the wordpress sites, I happened to login into "Blogger", which has been blocked by GFW for a long time. Runned by Google, "Blogger" is both powerful and fast. And I choose this place as my new beginning. Just in case it would be blocked again, I download this wonderful "Zoundry Raven" to update my posts on these sites with synchronization, "LiveSpace" included. Haha!

Well, it's really a tough beginning tonight, due to my poor proficiency in writing and vocabulary. Anyway, I made it through.

Time to sleep!
